Inktober

It's been a little while since I've posted any work, but I haven't been idle. I spent October doing Inktober. It's been a while since I've sketched traditionally and I was a bit rusty, but it was still fun putting pen to paper again. Here's a couple sketches. There's more on the way.

Landscape paintings in New Jersey.

I just got back from a trip to the east coast to visit my RISD peeps. I went all over the place in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Connecticut, and New Jersey. While I was in New Jersey, I was lucky enough to get some landscape painting in. I haven't been consistently landscape painting in a while, and it was slow going at first, but I'm pretty happy with the way these came out.

Still finding the sketchbook paper a little trick...

Breaking in a new sketchbook! I love the bleeding effects of the new paper and the new texture really brings out some of the brush strokes, but it stays wet so much longer. Gonna have to watch that.
